I always wanted to sing this duet, but could not find anyone with a male voice low enough to get that Johnny Cash sound, who could to join me. Then I met Tom Cherry. He was so kind to take time to drive to my basement studio and record this song. It was a lot of fun! Thanks Tom!

DeeTeeVee #6: Wyatt Christmas Five at Feel the Fifties party With my band Dee’s Honeytones I played at the Feel the Fifties party in Steyl (near Venlo, The Netherlands). For Rockabilly-online I interviewed Andy Wyatt Christmas, ten years ago. Back then, they were the Wyatt Christmas trio. Now I got to see the new formation, Wyatt Christmas five, live. Very awesome band. They play original songs and some covers too. At the end of the party, Dee’s Honeytones and the Wyatt Christmas five jammed together. Unfortunately no video, but we got the pictures! 😀
Dr. Ton and Dee Ann sing Baby it’s cold outside. Dean Martin recorded it in 1959, but not with Doris Day. The original songs goes back to 1944, recorded for the first time in ’49 (by a lot of duo’s like Ella & Louis, Dinah Shore & Buddy Clark). The 1949 version of Esther Williams and Ricardo Montalbán won an Oscar in ’49 for the best movie song. Rumor goes that Doris Day never recorded it, but sang on the radio with Bob Hope (research by Lodewijk Reijs).
Dee Ann and Baby Rebbel are at a farm. While sitting at a plastic pool, they play “Some days you gotta dance” by the Dixie Chicks.
